In Conversation with The Colour Purple director Blitz Bazawule at Africa Writes

I’ll be in conversation with polymath and director of the new The Colour Purple movie, the amazing Blitz Bazawule at Africa Writes Festival at The British Library on Friday 29/09/2023 7.00pm. The film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones. Blitz was the director of Beyonce’s Black Is King. His film, The Burial of Kojo was nominated for a slew of awards. His debut novel, The Scent of Burnt Flowers is out now. Looking forward to speaking to him. I love his work!
